Los Angeles Lakers superfan Snoop Dogg recently ventured into new NBA territory, attending Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that game, where Luka Doncic’s performance was stunning enough, the Mavericks secured their ticket to the finals. Doncic’s dominant play not only impressed the crowd but also won over Snoop Dogg himself.
In a podcast appearance, the renowned rapper recounted an intense moment during the game where Doncic engaged in some trash talk directed at a heckler.
“It was somebody that was talking shit to him. Every minute I was there, he was like, ‘Luca, you cry, baby. You cried.’ And then when Luca took the lead, he said, ‘Who is crying now, motherfucker?'”
However, Snoop Dogg admitted that Doncic’s prowess on the court that night turned him into a fan.
“So I became a fan of Luca that night,” he added.
Doncic indeed delivered an impressive stat line in Game 5, scoring 36 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out five assists. Such outstanding contributions throughout the Western Conference Finals series earned him the well-deserved title of WCF MVP.
