The ongoing feud between former NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard has captured fans’ attention for years, stemming from a nickname. Shaq, known as “Superman” during his NBA career, took offense when Howard’s fans began to call him using the same nickname.
Since then, the two have had a rocky relationship, marked by public digs and escalating tensions. Dwight Howard has claimed that Shaq’s anger has gone beyond friendly rivalry.
Recently, Shaq rekindled the rivalry on Inside the NBA. When Ernie Johnson asked about the Orlando Magic’s all-time leading scorer, Shaq knew Howard was the correct answer but refused to say his name out loud. Instead, he humorously flashed a piece of paper with Howard’s name written on it.
In September, Howard revealed that Shaq sent him disrespectful messages and even blocked him on social media. It left little doubt that the feud was still active. Howard expressed frustration over Shaq’s treatment, suggesting that the legendary center hasn’t let go of the nickname dispute.
