Shaquille O’Neal has been a cornerstone of Inside the NBA since joining the show in 2011 after his legendary NBA career. The program’s popularity has skyrocketed in the years since, with Shaq’s humor and basketball knowledge drawing in a massive fan base.
Warner Bros. reached a new settlement with the NBA earlier this year, so fans can continue enjoying Shaq’s antics on the beloved show. While O’Neal has yet to sign a new contract, it is widely expected that the network will prioritize keeping him on the panel.
However, Shaq’s lighthearted humor sometimes comes with unintended consequences. During Tuesday night’s Inside the NBA halftime segment for the Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks game, Shaq accidentally caused some technical trouble. A viral video on X captured the moment when Shaq slapped the large video board behind the panelists’ desk.

What seemed like a harmless act at first quickly turned into a malfunction. The screen began glitching, which disrupted the video display. While initially, the issue appeared minor, the glitch became evident when Kenny Smith attempted to show highlights from the game.
Shaquille O’Neal Advises Giannis Antetokounmpo Ahead Of Record Chase
During a recent episode of Inside the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal addressed Giannis Antetokounmpo’s pursuit of an impressive milestone. The Milwaukee Bucks star is on track to potentially break Shaq’s record of averaging 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists for three seasons. However, O’Neal offered a mix of praise and caution for the Greek Freak.
“You know, sometimes, Ernie, even if you’re a great player, sometimes you have to be brought back down to reality. They [Bucks] started off slow. They’re playing well. He [Giannis] knows what he has to do,” Shaq said.
