However, it’s no secret that some players express dissatisfaction with their ratings.
They sometimes try to influence Ronnie’s decisions by giving him gifts or money to get higher ratings in the NBA 2K video game. However, he recently addressed these concerns in an interview with TMZ Sports. He stated that he always declines the players’ attempts to boost their ratings, affirming his loyalty to the game.
“I have had all the bribe requests in the world. But those ratings are too sacred, I ain’t changing [them].” Ronnie said to TMZ Sports.
Later in the interview, TMZ Sports asked him about Bronny James’s Rating. He mentioned that they currently lack sufficient data on Bronny, so his rating will be subject to change as more information becomes available.
Klay Thompson Labels Ronnie 2K as a Clown
Ronnie has been criticized and questioned by many players, fans, and analysts for the NBA 2K ratings. Recently, he explained the reason behind Kyrie Irving’s overall rating after criticism from Stephen A. Smith. Additionally, Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson once called him a clown after ESPN aired Ronnie’s interview.
“Y’all really interviewed this clown? I thought NBA on ESPN meant coverage of the best athletes in the world? Not interviewing a promoter ….Do better ESPN.” Thompson wrote.
