The Phoenix Suns secured a 104-93 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, improving their record to 12-8. However, the win was overshadowed by a concerning ankle injury sustained by star forward Kevin Durant.
Before his exit, Durant, who recently came from a calf injury, had been a strong presence on the court. He contributed 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, alongside four rebounds and two assists in just 16 minutes of play.
Durant’s injury occurred late in the second quarter, with 4:30 remaining on the clock. After driving aggressively to the rim against three Spurs defenders, the former MVP rolled his ankle and collapsed to the floor in visible pain. Medical staff quickly assessed the situation. Durant was helped off the court before heading to the locker room.

Despite hopes for his return, Durant remained in the locker room throughout the third quarter and did not rejoin the game. By halftime, the Suns confirmed that Durant would not return to the game. His absence left the Suns relying on Grayson Allen to step into the lineup after halftime. Despite the absence of their star player, the Suns managed to maintain their lead and secure the win.
