The Philadelphia 76ers have finally ended their five-game losing streak after a 113-98 win against the Brooklyn Nets. The 76ers fans have surely found something to cheer about in recent times. However, their latest victory doesn’t make up at all for their dismal start to the season. Before the Nets game, the 76ers managed to win only two games while losing on 12 occasions.
Now that they have found their winning shoes, the 76ers must look to capture and build momentum from here on. It is said that even the darkest of the clouds has a silver lining. That saying holds true in the case of the Philadelphia outfit as well. Amidst all the somber gameplay, one particular athlete has been phenomenal with his performances. Rookie point guard Jared McCain has been exceptional throughout the season.
McCain now holds the record of scoring 20 or more points for six consecutive games. And after having yet another stellar outing against the Nets, McCain delivered a confident, five-word message for his fans. Elated after scoring, McCain was seen mouthing, “I’m the rookie of the year!”

And well, such confidence from McCain is absolutely justified. Playing against the Nets, McCain dropped 30 points, with three assists and five rebounds. Unfortunately, all is not well with the 76ers. Apart from their in-game form, the 76ers have also been ravaged by a nasty controversy lately.
Joel Embiid Furious About Recent Philadelphia 76ers’ Meeting Leak
Recently, a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania seemed to have rocked the foundation of trust within the Philadelphia 76ers. A closed-door team meeting incident was leaked that involved Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. As per the report, Maxey called out Embiid during the meeting for being late on several occasions. While Embiid later accepted that the interaction did take place, he also stated that it was nothing major and lasted for only 30 seconds.

Now, expectedly, Embiid was furious with the leak. While it was certain that someone from within the team had leaked the news, the 76ers star addressed the person as a “piece of s**t.” Embiid is also reportedly on the hunt to find out who the snitch was. Thus, with things still looking quite somber for the 76ers, it remains to be seen how much positivity the latest victory can inject into the Philadelphia side.
