Xander Schauffele is on top of the world right now.
The golfer enjoyed one of his finest career moments in May as he won the PGA Championship to bag his first major title on the PGA Tour.
But he’s also experienced quite the golfing low as he’s lost a game to someone he should never be losing to.
Even at age 61, Michael Jordan should still be able to beat most people at basketball. But he shouldn’t be beating one of the best golfers in the world at golf, which is exactly what happened to Schauffele.
The PGA Championship winner revealed losing straight up to MJ in the last three holes of a match after trash-talking basketball’s GOAT.
“He beat me straight up, which was embarrassing,” he admitted while warming up for this week’s U.S. Open.
“I started talking s**t to him, and then he got all quiet and focused. And then he birdied 15-16, no strokes, and beat me straight up.”

Sure, His Airness is pretty good at golf and is known for his competitive nature. But beating a golfer of such caliber was probably unexpected.
Coming through in the clutch, though? Perhaps not so surprising.
