After making headlines on their free agency cost, the Orlando Magic faced their first setback of the season on Saturday night, falling to the Memphis Grizzlies 124-111 at FedExForum. Despite a strong start to the season, Jalen Suggs’ team struggled to contain Memphis, who bounced back with a stellar performance that broke Orlando’s winning streak.
During the heated game, a tense exchange unfolded between Magic players and a fan. It began when a Grizzlies fan taunted Jalen Suggs about a bald spot. Suggs became visibly frustrated, prompting Magic teammate Franz Wagner to step in. Wagner tried to diffuse the situation, telling the fan to “just watch the game.”
However, when the comments continued, Suggs decided not to remain calm. Rather, Suggs confronted the fan directly, throwing a subtle dig at the fan.
“Take that dewy [durag] off, n****,” Suggs told the fan. “Take that sh*t off, weak a** twists,” Sugg said.
While emotions ran high off the court, both Suggs and Wagner contributed significantly to Orlando’s effort to counter the Grizzlies’ momentum. Suggs scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and had three assists, while Wagner led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

“AB almost dropped me to tears today. He’s been here all summer. He’s worked his tail off. He hasn’t complained. All he’s done is prepare himself for a moment’s call. Today was his moment,” Suggs said.
Black added ten points, one rebound, and three assists to the loss. After a rest day on Sunday, Sugg’s team is set to face the Indiana Pacers at the Kia Center on Monday.
