Nikola Jokic suffered an elbow injury ahead of their game against the Houston Rockets. Sitting out of the game, the Serbian star had to watch his team suffer a defeat by 20 points. Thus, coming into their next game versus the Miami Heat, the big question was whether Jokic would return. Initially, the Nuggets’ star was listed as questionable but the fans were elated to see him take the field.
And with it, the Nuggets were back to winning ways. Courtesy of Jokic’s 17th triple-double of the season, the Serbian dropped 24 points as the Nuggets triumphed over the Heat with a 133-113 scoreline. However, speaking after the game courtside, Jokic was asked why he did not wear elbow sleeves to prevent from getting scratched and fouled.
Replying to the question, Jokic said, “But how am I going to show to the officials? ‘Look!'”
