Technical fouls are pretty common in an NBA game. It is called in order to ensure athlete safety and the smooth progress of the game. Likewise, during the game against New Orleans Pelicans and the New York Knicks, the referees called in a tech. While it went against the Pelicans, the foul itself was quite unique to say the least. This was because the foul was not called on any of the players. Neither was it called on the coach!
In a hilarious turn of events, one of the Pelicans’ floor sweepers got booked. While he was just trying to do his work, the sweeper attempting to clean the floor in the middle of the game was perhaps not the smartest choice. During a spot where the Knicks were looking to inbound the ball, the sweeper innocently came inside the court. Such an interference caused Jalen Brunson to fail to receive the throw standing on the baseline.

Thus, with no other options left, the officials immediately stopped the towel guy and called tech on him. Meanwhile, rebuilding the team is utterly necessary, given that the Pelicans are experiencing one of their worst seasons.
NBA Insider Proposes Trade Idea To New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans have had a forgettable season. With a record of five wins and 22 losses, the Pelicans are one of the worst teams in the Western Conference this year. Thus, after such a catastrophic failure, it is quite normal that they would need a thorough change in their lineups. Svyatoslav Rovenchuk from Athlon Sports provided ideas for the same.

“The swap allows the Warriors to add another All-Star caliber player around Curry. Meanwhile, the Pelicans land a worthwhile young prospect and a handful of expiring contracts. One could argue that Golden State would need to add some sort of draft pick compensation too, but given Ingram’s modest value, Kuminga may offer more than enough appeal to not have to do so,” explained Rovenchuk.

After all, Brandon Ingram has stood out amidst the ruins. He has averaged 22.2 points, 5.2 assists and 5.6 rebounds this season, which is quite impressive. Thus, if a trade indeed takes place, the Warriors might as well be the winning team here.
