The Orlando Magic secured a 106-97 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Nevertheless, the team witnessed a devastating injury to their star player, Jalen Suggs.
The incident occurred during the second quarter when Suggs took a nasty fall while attempting to make a steal. Despite no apparent contact with another player, Suggs landed awkwardly and was seen writhing in pain on the court.
The medical team quickly rushed to his aid, and the guard was taken off the court in a wheelchair, covering his head with a towel. The Magic later ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

Although his night was cut short, his performance this season has been a bright spot for the Magic. Suggs is averaging career highs of 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.

“He’s back there with back spasms is what it is right now. So we’re gonna take a look at him tomorrow. It was the initial play, I think, on the offensive, and he went down and made a play, and then coming back, I think he lunged at a ball, and that’s when it just locked up,” Mosley said.
Suggs will be reevaluated once the team returns to Orlando. Fans are hopeful for a positive update as Suggs has been having an impressive season so far.
