The Los Angeles Lakers are finally up and running. After a disappointing four-game losing streak, the purple and gold brigade finally managed to come back to winning ways. The Lakers edged out the Sacramento Kings in a closely contested game by scoring 113-100. While the star of the game was Anthony Davis, who scored an impressive 21 points, LeBron James had an important message for Lakers fans.
James mentioned that while Davis was an exceptional talent, expecting a match-winning performance every day must not become a norm. The notion that Davis is there to save the day must not be taken for granted and should be respected aptly. “AD is special. Don’t take those performances for granted, don’t say ‘That’s just AD doing AD’. That’s a special talent and a special player. We needed every last one of those 20 boards. And everybody just tried to protect him,” King James stated.

As a matter of fact, things looked quite rosy for the Lakers last night. Apart from dropping 21 points, the 31-year-old also had 19 rebounds, three steals and four assists. Giving him appropriate support was none other than King James himself. He showed up with 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Meanwhile, as James took a leave from the Lakers, Anthony Davis supported him.

“He’s dealing with some stuff. But think the week off kind of just let him heal and get back right,” said Davis while speaking to Spectrum SportsNet. Indeed, things have often looked a bit problematic for James. However, with the Lakers returning to winning ways, it remains to be seen whether LeBron James can get back his form.
