The Los Angeles Lakers will enter the 2024-25 season with a new coach and strategy. However, it will be a regular affair for the legendary LeBron James, who will be playing his 22nd season. Ahead of the NBA training camp, the 39-year-old forward showed his fitness, which is the key to his longevity, in a recent workout session.
The Lakers stayed relatively calm in the free agency as they acquired center Collin Castleton and Christian Koloko to two-way contracts. The Purple and Gold also re-signed wing Max Christie and picked LeBron James’ son Bronny in the 2024 NBA Draft.
As the next season approaches, the oldest player in the NBA has begun preparing for training camp. King James shared snaps of his workout session, followed by a video where he can be seen bobbing his head to music before lifting weights. He captioned the video, “LETS GOOOOOOOOO.”
LeBron James will turn 40 on December 30 and hasn’t indicated any intention to stop. He averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game, shooting 54% from the field. He also registered a career-high three-point shooting average at 41%.
The Lakers Announce Date For Media Day For The 2024-25 Season
The Los Angeles Lakers’ annual media day will be held on Monday, September 30, ahead of the 2024-25 season. On the next day, the first training camp practice will be held. After three days, the Lakers will play their first preseason game on October 4. LeBron James and Co. will begin their 2024-25 regular season against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 22.
