The Charlotte Hornets traveled to the Fiserv Forum in search of a victory. However, despite going toe to toe with the Bucks for most of the time, the Hornets failed to secure a victory. Losing 119-125, the Hornets would now have to go back to the drawing board and look to come back stronger. But despite their loss, the Hornets had one of the most entertaining moments of the match that instantly became viral.
As LaMelo Ball faced off against the towering challenge of Giannis Antetokounmpo, he pulled off a dirty trick on the latter’s brother. Watching the game from the sidelines was Giannis’ brother, Thanasis Antetokounmpo. In a recently uploaded video on X, Ball pulled off an impressive 3-point shot during the game.
However, Thanasis seemed to direct some words at Ball just before the shot. This did not sit well with the Hornets’ star, as he immediately turned around after scoring and gave a little bit of trash talk to Antetokounmpo’s brother. However, things did not escalate as the exchange turned out to be made in good sportsman spirit. Fans could spot both Ball and Thanasis laughing at the interaction off the court.

Well, at the end of the day, it was Antetokounmpo who had the last laugh. Securing a hard-fought victory, the Bucks will look to strengthen their position further as they aim for the coveted playoffs. But LaMelo Ball did not disappoint either. He, too, had one of the best games.
LaMelo Ball Goes Down Fighting
Despite his team’s loss, LaMelo Ball can hold his head high. Playing exceptionally well, Ball dropped a whopping 50 points to make his opponents sit up and take note. While this was Ball’s all-time career-high score, this was only the fifth occasion when an athlete scored 50 points in a single game.

Not only did he score the points, but he also tried to help his team with 10 assists and 5 rebounds. Unfortunately, while this effort was not enough to see his team through, Ball’s form would definitely be a positive takeaway for the Hornets going forward. Now, it remains to be seen whether the Hornets can capitalize on Ball’s electric form and turn things around from here.
