Kyrie Irving has recently become the center of attraction amidst a heated Phoenix vs. Mavericks game. The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks game has given NBA fans some fiery rivalries. Continuing the trend, their latest face-off had sparks flying everywhere. The interactions got so intense that the entire internet was trending, and Kyrie Irving unknowingly added fuel to the fire.
It all started in the third quarter, with just over 9 minutes left. The referee called an offensive foul on Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic. While challenging for the ball, Nurkic committed an illegal foul on Daniel Gafford. While the altercation seemed to have subsided, things were only about to get worse. Instead of concentrating back in the game, Nurkic walked towards Gafford. Trying to pick up a fight, the Suns’ star was confronted by Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington.
While Nurkic slapped the back of Marshall’s head, an infuriated Marshall threw a brutal punch. Luckily, the punch bruised Nurkic’s ears slightly, avoiding a serious injury. And it was during this altercation that Kyrie Irving decided to steal the show.
