The Dallas Mavericks and their star, Kyrie Irving, saw their championship hopes dashed again last season. Nevertheless, Irving is now gearing up for a comeback, putting in hard work during his workout drills. Recently, the Mavs star faced an unusual question during one of these workouts, and his answer was equally surprising.
During the session, Irving was asked, “If you had a hall pass with any celebrity, who would it be?”
Without hesitation, Irving responded with a heartfelt answer, choosing his wife, Marlene Wilkerson.
“Oh nah. I love my wife, Marlene Wilkerson. Shout out to my wife and my kids,” he said.
Irving and Wilkerson have maintained a very private relationship over the years. They were first seen together in 2018, during Irving’s time with the Boston Celtics. Though they have not publicly announced their engagement, Wilkerson was spotted wearing a diamond ring in September 2019, as reported by the Daily Mail.
NBA Analyst Compares Kyrie Irving’s Athleticism with Bronny James

On the Odd Couple podcast, Broussard recalled Irving’s athleticism in a McDonald’s All-American game. The NBA analyst claimed that this game forced him to have a call with Irving’s father.
“Obviously, he’s not Kyrie Irving. I remember seeing Kyrie Irving in high school at an All-American game in New York. And they had all the big names in the country there. Austin Rivers was there who was more highly talented than Kyrie. And I was talking to Kyrie’s dad on the phone because, you know, they’re in the same area. We living in Jersey. And I was telling him man Kyrie, clearly he is standing out amongst all these guys. He’s in control,” he said.
