After spending nine seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has moved on to a new chapter with the New York Knicks. In the trade that sent the four-time NBA All-Star to the Knicks, Minnesota received the star duo of Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo and a protected first-round pick in 2025.
The new Knicks star Towns recently appeared on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe, where he shared his thoughts on the greatest power forwards in NBA history. When asked to name his top five, Towns mentioned several legendary players.
“Dirk, KG, Tim Duncan. Is Giannis going to be counted as a four? I thought he would be counted as a three. I’ll say Karl Malone. There’s going to be someone left off,” KAT said.
Despite being a top player himself, Towns was humble when it came to his own placement in the conversation.
“Nah, like I said, I ain’t putting myself; I’ll let people do that. I was thinking, in the beginning, it was Chris Bosh, but Charles Barkley was so special. He was so good. People gotta take the time and watch Charles Barkley’s highlights. That man was a beast,” he added.
Karl-Anthony Towns Declares LeBron James As The Best Player Talent-Wise

“Like I said, I’m always going to speak what I see with my own two eyes. I can’t speak for everything; I wouldn’t be able to, but man, that man, Bron, he’s different. That man, Bron, something special,” KAT said.
“I’ve been in the league for 10 years, so I’ve seen Bron in so many different stages. I feel LeBron’s the best player we’ve ever seen talent-wise,” he added. Now, with the New York Knicks, Towns will have the chance to face James on February 1, 2025, when the Knicks play against the Los Angeles Lakers.
