The Minnesota Timberwolves had a fantastic season despite falling apart against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs swept them off the Western Conference Finals, ending their season. Following the 4-1 series defeat, Wolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns tried shopping therapy with his girlfriend when there seemed no hope of recovering from the disappointment.
Towns and his long-term girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, were spotted on Sunday at the Topanga Mall in Los Angeles with their newly bought luxury stuff. The pair had many bags with them, one of which belonged to Balenciaga that was filled with loads of items.
Though the couple appeared to be relaxed, buying gifts for one another that Woods claimed to be their love language, there was no smile on their faces.
It will take Towns and his Minnesota teammates some time to get over the unexpected loss, even after putting in so much effort.
The four-time All-Star was one of the players to stand out in the Wolves’ colors at both ends, averaging 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3 assists in the regular campaign and 19.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in the playoffs. However, there is no certainty about his future in the franchise.
Karl-Anthony Towns’ future with Timberwolves remains unclear
Rumors of potential brewing under the Timberwolves hood related to a legal battle between Marc Lore, Alex Rodriguez, and the majority owner, Glen Taylor. As per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, on winning the case, the former parties would deduct the payroll, which could be problematic for the squad.

After being eliminated, Karl-Anthony Towns expressed his desire to stay with the franchise on Thursday, “I’m confident I’ll be able to be here with my brothers and continue what I love to do here at home. So that’s the plan. Nothing’s changed on my side. I love this city. I love this organization. I love this city. It’s given me my life, me and my family.”
Though KAT has a contract until the 2027-28 season, his plans with the franchise remain a question mark, as they might look for possible rotations to improve the lineup around the team’s star, Anthony Edwards.
