New York Knicks’ Josh Hart is popular for his subtle humor. Whether it’s his teammates or opponents, nobody can escape from his playful comments. Recently, the franchise’s latest addition got a taste of the jabs Hart can offer.
On an episode of his podcast “The Roommates Show,” Hart joked about the new member of their team, Pacome Dadiet. While discussing the French swingman with co-host Matt Hillman, the two found a resemblance to food.
Hart said, “With the 25th pick, we got Pacome Dadiet,” then mockingly added, “… Like nah, I’m on Da Diet.” The 29-year-old’s amusing pronunciation quickly captured the attention of the NBA community, who were thoroughly entertaining, and the clip soon reached every corner of the NBA social media circles.
Dadiet was selected by the New York side in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft as their 25th pick. Playing beside Josh Hart, the rookie could polish his skill set and help in contributing to the Knicks’ success. But the 18-year-old also has to be tolerant of the jabs coming his way on the journey.
There are more tales of Hart’s humor which extend beyond players.

“You know what I really want to know?” Asked Hart to his co-host and teammate Brunson. Taking a sly dig, he further added, “We all over here lifting couch cushions trying to find spare change. Where is Boston pulling all this damn money from?” (At 3:10)
The Celtics did make some huge financial decisions lately, extending the contracts of their players and also providing max contracts to some. The champion franchise will reportedly be spending $200 million on their five aces by the 2025-2026 season. So Hart is not entirely wrong in raising the issue.
