Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics did not have the best outings against the Chicago Bulls. Suffering a 108-117 defeat, the Celtics will desperately be looking forward to getting back to winning ways. However, all these things took a backseat on Thursday as Jaylen Brown took all the limelight with his rant on the NBA officials.
During the fag end of the match, it was the Celtics who got booked for several technical fouls. Infuriated by the incidents, Head Coach Joe Mazzulla stepped onto the court and earned himself a tech, too. This set of incidents seemed to have gotten to Brown’s nerves. During the post-match presser, Brown lashed out at the referee with significant disdain.
“You want to fine people for gestures and all this stuff, fine that. This is some b*******. We were down three at the time at the jump ball and that led to us being down eight and that affects the game. That could have been avoided. Joe didn’t say anything to deserve a tech,” Brown stated.
Jaylen Brown went off on the refs and the double standard of his fine against the Pistons and the officials’ actions tonight:

Brown’s anger was initiated because he believed it should have been him doing the jump ball with Ayo Dosunmu. Unfortunately for the Celtics’ star, referee Justin Van Duyne rejected the plea and allowed Payton Pritchard instead. Now, for starters, this is not the first instance of the 28-year-old getting into on-court controversy.
Jaylen Brown Hits ‘Throat Slash’ Celebration Against The Pistons
Jaylen Brown is well-known for his unique antics on the basketball court. In a recent face-off with two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brown made a ‘too small’ celebration that erupted the rumor mills. Likewise, his recent shenanigans against the Detroit Pistons were also worthy enough to spark a controversy.

Securing a 130-120 victory, Brown was the star of the night. However, after getting a massive dunk over Isaiah Stewart in the first quarter, Brown did something unique. He hung onto the rim and pulled out a ‘throat slash’ celebration. Thus, with the controversies continuing to mount around Jaylen Brown, it remains to be seen how things pan out for him in the future.
