The Boston Celtics continued their winning streak on Sunday, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 113-107 at Fiserv Forum. This victory brings the Celtics’ record to 9-2, while the Bucks have now slipped to a disappointing 2-8. Nevertheless, Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo managed to steal some of the spotlight for his game performance and a prank that left Boston’s Jaylen Brown calling him out.
Antetokounmpo’s determination to lead his team was evident throughout the game, especially given the recent speculation about his future in Milwaukee due to the Bucks’ ongoing struggles. However, during the second quarter, the tension gave way to some unexpected humor.
Antetokounmpo, while attempting to back down Brown in the paint, accidentally hit him in the face. In what seemed like an apology, he extended his hand to Brown. But when Brown went to shake it, Giannis pulled his hand back and playfully ran it over his head like a classic prank from high school.
After the game, Brown addressed the incident in an interview with NBC Sports Boston. The Celtics star could not resist calling Giannis Antetokounmpo a ‘child.’
“Giannis is a child. I’m just focused on helping my team get a win. And that’s what we did tonight,” Brown said.
