In an exciting NBA game on Monday, the Denver Nuggets emerged victorious over the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 108-106, thus winning the series. Jamal Murray’s game-winning shot with only four seconds remaining in the game secured Denver’s 4-1 series win over the Lakers.
After scoring the decisive basket, Murray sprinted toward his father, who was seated courtside. The two shared a moment of pure happiness, which surprised many fans. The Lakers and Nuggets were tied 106-106 with only 17 seconds left in play. Murray had the ball, but Austin Reaves and Anthony Davis were ready to take it away.
Davis was blocked by Nikola Jokic, and Murray made a shot inside the paint with only 3.6 seconds remaining. Murray then ran down the floor to give the Nuggets a two-point lead. This was the point guard’s second playoff game-winning basket. Murray scored 32 points, while his teammate Nikola Jokic had 25 points, 20 rebounds, and nine assists.

After the game, Murray gave an interview where he was asked about the game and his injury. He replied that despite being injured, he played exceptionally well. He also mentioned that he didn’t want to leave his teammates alone and didn’t want to sit out.
“I didn’t want to sit; I’m not gonna leave my brothers out there; I got a little emotional in the back cause I was like, ‘I’m not sitting, I don’t care.’ Whatever it is, we gotta figure it out. I’m just thankful that they let me play and I was able to get this opportunity,” said Murray.
