Jimmy Butler made a strong return to the court on Monday night, leading the Miami Heat to a 106-89 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. This game marked Butler’s first appearance after missing four games due to a right ankle injury.
Despite being sidelined, Butler remained actively involved with his team, often seen cheering from the sidelines, especially supporting teammate Nikola Jovic, who wore a face mask for a nose injury. In his post-game press conference, Butler shared how he felt after his comeback.
“I feel great right now. A little tired, not a lot, a lot of shape, maybe. But I got a couple days to get back into that. I’m glad I did the hoop again, compete with my guys. This guy right here has been holding it down for us these first couple of games,” Butler said.

“I just want to be able to help make it easy for him a little bit. And I think we’re almost starting to get into a rhythm. We don’t want a couple in a row,” he added.
Butler’s performance on the court showed little sign of rust. He led the Heat with 30 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 34 minutes of play. His efforts helped Miami improve to 6-7 on the season while pushing the 76ers to a 2-11 record.

Along with Jimmy Butler’s big game, Tyler Herro also helped the Heat to their big win over the 76ers. After the game, Butler took a moment to praise his teammate for his scoring ability.
“He’s a prolific scorer. He’s without a doubt one of the best scorers on this team; I’m not going to say he’s the best, but he can get a bucket,” Butler said.
