LeBron James has already achieved nearly every milestone imaginable in his legendary basketball career. From championships to MVPs, the Los Angeles Lakers star has done it all, and even James himself feels that there’s little left for him to accomplish on the court. Given his incredible career, the idea of erecting a statue in his honor has become a hot topic among fans.
The idea gained momentum after James became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long-standing record. Recently, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas addressed this topic on the Gils Arena Show, stating that James has more than earned the right to have a statue in his honor.
“LeBron James will have a statue at Staples because you’re not going to have the number one scorer in NBA history not there. Cleveland is going to give him one, no matter what. He can possibly three,” Arenas said.
“100% sure he will have two because there is no way Los Angeles doesn’t have him with the name. They’re only putting in prestige,” he added.
