Ahead of the NBA 2024-25 regular season, Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum participated in a basketball session in China. The five-time NBA All-Star is a prolific offensive player, registering multiple high-scoring games. However, he failed to make close-range shots during the hoop session in China and faced brutal trolling from the NBA fans on social media.
Tatum recently addressed the media about his lack of playing time at the Paris Olympics 2024 with Team USA. He told the New York Times, “I wasn’t moping around. I didn’t have an attitude.” Tatum added, “I wasn’t angry at the world. I stayed ready and did what was asked of me, and I won a gold medal, right?”
In his last few days of summer before joining the Celtics training camp, Jayson Tatum appeared to play with the fans in China. In a viral video on social media, Tatum missed three easy shots in a row from close range, which resulted in a series of social media reactions from NBA fans.
A fan compared Tatum with Angel Reese, seeing the Celtics forward struggle to make easy shots. Another fan offered sarcasm on the 2024 NBA champion blowing up easy shots in a 1v1 against his Chinese fan.
