The 2024-25 NBA preseason has begun with some remarkable games. In the meantime, a number of NBA players had the chance to share their thoughts on a longstanding question. House of Highlights asked 11 players what they would do if they were in control of the league. Among these players, Damian Lillard and LaMelo Ball expressed similar opinions about changing a specific rule.
Lillard, who recently praised the Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving, expressed concern about adding a four-point line to the court. Conversely, Ball, the guard for the Charlotte Hornets, also revealed the same desire.
“I would add a four-point line,” Lillard said.
“I’ll probably add a four-point line for real,” LaMelo Ball said.
Adding a four-point line to the court can significantly impact players who excel at shooting from long range. Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is a prime example of such a player who is proficient at shooting 3-pointers. If the rule was implemented in the league, these players could easily transition to shooting 4-pointers.
