Although it was obvious of an agitated fanbase as Bron blasted 26 points while coming just shy of a triple-double. He had all that with nine assists and eight rebounds in a mere 31 minutes. Even though Luka Doncic is still recovering from a calf injury, the Lakers hit a season-high of 10 games over .500 at 29-19.
Historically, the Lakers have struggled against their crosstown rivals, but this time, they came out firing. With all eyes on James, it opened up opportunities for others, allowing teammates like Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura to shine. Reaves, in particular, capitalized on mismatches, scoring 20 points and dishing out nine assists. While Hachimura added a strong offensive punch with 20 points of his own.

During a postgame conference after the Lakers’ victory over the Clippers, James firmly dismissed his trade rumors.

I’m here to help Luka and Maxi make the transition as smooth as possible. [Markieff Morris] has been here before, so he already knows what we’re about, we won a championship with him in 2020, so I ain’t worried about him,” James said on his trade rumor.
