The defending champion Boston Celtics secured a hard-fought 107-105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, despite a late 19-point comeback attempt by the Wolves. The victory not only improved the Celtics’ record to 14-3 but also gave Jaylen Brown the opportunity to address some long-standing criticism from the Timberwolves broadcast.
In a recent press conference, Brown opened up about the frustration he’s felt over the years. He explained that throughout most of his career, he chose not to respond to negative comments or criticisms. However, this time, he felt it was fair to speak up.
“I’ve never said anything the majority of my career. I let people kind of create the narrative for me. I don’t talk, don’t smile. I let things be said. This year, especially saying I’m not marketable and all different types of stuff, I think it’s fair for me to say something in return,” Brown said.

“Don’t bother me. I’m not really thinking about nothing. It don’t affect me, but if I point something out, I’m just pointing it out. That’s it; I move on. But no, it doesn’t really motivate me now. I’m just pointing it out,” he added.
Jaylen Brown Responds To Timberwolves Broadcast Slams With Big Game
During the Boston Celtics’ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jaylen Brown faced some tough criticism from the Timberwolves’ broadcast team. As Brown made his first three-pointer of the game, Jim Petersen, one of the broadcasters, took a shot at his outside shooting, referring to Brown’s past struggles with three-point shooting.
“Jaylen Brown has not shot the ball good from outside the arc. You look at his shot chart, Michael; it is not good. It’s a lot of red and a lot of white,” Petersen said.
Despite the criticism, Brown remained unfazed and continued to play his game. He responded by making more baskets, proving his critics wrong. Petersen, clearly surprised by Brown’s performance, threw another subtle dig at the Celtics star.

“Unbelievable. Coming into this game, literally I would give him that shot,” Petersen said.
On the court, Brown played 36 minutes, scoring 29 points, grabbing two rebounds, and dishing out four assists to help lead the Celtics to the win. His performance showed that despite the noise surrounding him, he remains focused on the game and his team’s success.
