The Cleveland Cavaliers have been running away far ahead of their competition right from the start. Boasting a 33-4 record, the Cavaliers have already extended their Eastern Conference lead by six games. And while the team is looking like favorites to win the silverware this year, the secret behind their success has been revealed. According to Jarrett Allen, the Cavs are playing ‘ethical basketball.’
Allen first introduced the term ‘ethical basketball’ back in 2024, when they defeated a star-studded Los Angeles Lakers. Since then, curiosity has been building about what the term really means. Following their 132-126 victory over the Toronto Raptors, Allen was further asked to shed light on the same.
“(Darius Garland) He picked us up and told us the truth. We were not playing defense how we’re supposed to, we weren’t moving the ball on offense, and he came up to us and told us we aren’t doing what Cavs basketball should be, and we turned it around… Defense, moving the ball, and a lot of energy. It should also be ethical. Farm-raised, Non-GMO, organic, free-range, ethical basketball,” said Allen.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ incredible performance has impressed even the best coaches. Ahead of their game against the Cavs, Lakers’ head coach, J.J. Redick, made an honest confession.
JJ Redick Praises Cleveland Cavaliers’ Red Hot Form
When a team is praised by its opposing head coach, it surely speaks volumes about its form. Ahead of their game against the Cavaliers, Redick stated that LeBron James and co. need to play near-perfect basketball. Only then would the Lakers get the better of the forward-marching Cavs.
“We certainly had our chances and really believe this against teams as good as Cleveland you have to play close to perfect basketball,” said Redick.

Thus, with things going almost perfectly for the Cleveland Cavaliers, they are looking set for a championship run. Now, the question is whether Jarrett Allen and co. can continue with their ‘ethical basketball’ in the future.
