Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brother Thanasis may not attract many fans in the NBA, but he stands his ground when faced with criticism. While his brother is leading the Milwaukee Bucks to clinch the 2024 NBA Cup after a 7-0 run, Thanais got something to sort off the court.
Recently, a video surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) showing the elder Antetokounmpo chasing down ‘It’s What It Is’ podcast host Cam’ron in his studio. What might turned out to be a complete surprise for the host has a backstory. As seen in the video, Thanasis entered Cam’ron’s podcast studio and charged at him to sort things. But the rapper did not take even a single percent chance against the 6-foot and 7-inch tall Bucks’ forward.

The video has since gone viral and is being widely shared among basketball fans. However, Cam’ron had another row of back and forth with the brothers. Thanasis made headlines of his own with a pointed jab at Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic. During the final moments of a game, Thanasis was overheard saying, “Tell the Joker to do that.” That was in reference to Giannis’ impressive block and calling out Jokic to step up defensively in a similar fashion.
This was revealed by podcast host Cam’ron Giles while describing the rivalry between Antetokounmpo and Jokic, a dialogue that has been persistent in NBA circles. While some may consider Thanasis’ comments as unnecessary, they are most certainly enjoying the whole drama.

What Did Cam’ron Say About Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Brother Thanasis?
A few months ago, a funny rumor started going around that Thanasis Antetokounmpo asked the Milwaukee Bucks for a trade. The story blew up online, but it actually originated from a parody account called NBACentel, which is known for posting fake news. The rumor caught not only fans off guard but also famous rappers Mase and Cam’ron. During their podcast “It Is What It Is,” the duo couldn’t help but laugh at the whole situation.

Mase even spit out the water he was drinking because he found it so ridiculous! Their reaction quickly turned into a hilarious moment that fans loved. As they talked about the trade rumor, Mase and Cam’ron just kept laughing harder, making the whole thing more entertaining. At one point, Mase even walked out of the shot because he couldn’t contain himself.
On the other hand, Thanasis is dealing with a lot of chatter around him, especially since people often joke that he only has a spot on the team because of his last name. Surprisingly, he seems unfazed by the rumors and the jokes. But at times, when all the chatter goes to another level, he steps up.
