It was not a good day at work for Buddy Hield. Not because he got Draymond Green agitated over him but mostly because of his lackluster showing up. The Golden State Warriors ultimately won a closely contested game against the Phoenix Suns with 109-105. The Warriors had an impressive first quarter, but things messed up between two of their players.
Green is one to hold his emotions for none. And with the Warriors struggling to find their groove, it came in full swing. This time, it was Hield who found himself in the crosshairs. After a particularly rough play where Hield shot an airball, Green was visibly upset.
“Wake the f*ck up,” Green was caught blasting out at his teammate. Green’s outburst was not just about that one missed shot; it was somehow the frustration growing within the camp for their performances over the past few weeks.

Buddy Hield started the season strong, even earning some early MVP buzz with impressive scoring averages. However, his performance has taken a notable dive lately, and that was evident on the court against the Suns when he went 0-7 from the field. With an average of just 10.4 points per game in December, it seems like he’s been searching for his rhythm.
Draymond Green Had A Historic Game Against The Phoenix Suns
Draymond Green delivered a historic performance as the Warriors faced off against the Phoenix Suns in San Francisco. Green became the fourth player in franchise history to surpass 700 made three-pointers, joining the elite ranks of Warriors’ sharpshooters. In just his first 18 minutes on the court, he recorded 16 points, a stellar field goal percentage of 6-7, and drilled 3 out of 4 attempts from beyond the arc.

With this achievement, Green also moved past Jason Richardson on the Warriors’ all-time three-pointers list. After the Saturday evening game, he now stands third behind only the legendary duo of Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Despite the Warriors currently struggling with a 15-15 record, Green’s performance against the Suns offered a glimmer of hope.

Additionally, Stephen Curry led the charge for the Bay Area team with 22 points. At one point, they found themselves down by four points at halftime; Curry decided to take matters into his own hands just as the clock was ticking down. He went coast-to-coast, executing a behind-the-back move that set him up for a one-legged mid-range floater, hitting nothing but net just as time expired.
Curry’s dazzling buzzer-beater gave him 15 first-half points, and it electrified the crowd. When they face the Cleveland Cavaliers for the next matchup, Curry will try to replicate the same shooting.
