The Clippers are the new Celtics. And yes, we are talking about their fanbases. The Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks ended in a disheartening loss to the LA Clippers. And the Clip fans went above and beyond to mock the Greek Freak.
During the thrilling Saturday matchup that ended up in the Clippers’ favor with 127-117, Antetokounmpo got the most heat from the opposing crowd. There was 03:01 still left on the clock when Giannis got a chance on the free-throw line. Getting absurd with each day, the Clippers fans, or what they call The Clippers Wall, started counting seconds before the Bucks star made a throw. Surprisingly, the whole Intuit Dome crowd loved it, as cheers were heard all around.
Although, the LA fans got much to have the last laugh, all thanks to James Harden. He poured in 40 points, including a dazzling stretch in the third quarter, where he scored 15 consecutive points. It came at a crucial time as he turned the tide for the Clippers after they trailed by 11 in the first half. Norman Powell contributed significantly as well, adding 33 points, while Kawhi Leonard chipped in with 18 points despite playing only three quarters.

This victory marked an end to the Bucks’ five-game winning streak and showcased the Clippers’ ability to perform under pressure. The Bucks had their star duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard putting up impressive numbers. Antetokounmpo notched 36 points and 13 rebounds, and Lillard finished with a triple-double of 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Made History In Bucks Loss
Despite the saddening loss against the Clippers, it was a bit of a cheerful moment for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek superstar edged his name into the record books on Saturday night. He surpassed New York Knicks legend Bernard King to become the 53rd-highest scorer in NBA history.

This milestone came as Giannis lit up the scoreboard with a phenomenal performance against the LA Clippers, scoring 36 points while adding 13 rebounds and one assist in just 33 minutes of play. For a player often scrutinized for his free throw shooting, Giannis performed well at the charity stripe, sinking 12 of 15 attempts (80%) against the Clippers.
Per Bucks PR, Giannis Antetokounmpo has passed Bernard King (19,655) to move up to No. 53 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Milwaukee entered the game against LA with a four-game winning streak. Giannis has maintained impressive averages of 25.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 20 games against the Clippers.
However, in the latest game, the Clippers took control in the fourth quarter, thanks to Powell’s explosive dunk that sparked a vital 14-0 run, capped off by a clutch three-pointer from Harden. Interestingly, the Clippers were perfect from the free-throw line, hitting all 28 attempts in a game that featured 17 ties. The loss pushed the Bucks to a below-average 8-11 on the road as they prepare to face the Utah Jazz in their next outing.
