The Minnesota Timberwolves have been struggling this season as they continue to slump further down. Facing off against the Toronto Raptors, the Timberwolves had a golden opportunity to get back to winning ways. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Instead, the Raptors, who were reeling 3-12 in the league, picked up their fourth victory by defeating the Timberwolves 110-105.
On the contrary, after this loss, the Timberwolves are in trouble, considering their record after 15 games last season. But going 8-7 on the win-loss record is the least of the Timberwolves’ worries. They might also be dealing with an internal conflict. At one point during the play, when the scores were tied at 95-95, Julius Randle refrained from passing Rudy Gobert the ball. This resulted in Gobert getting frustrated while his team picked up a 3-second violation.

Amidst all the chaos, Anthony Edwards looked shell-shocked and visibly furious at the pair. He realized that such a play only did more harm to his team than good. In a recently released video, Edwards was seen talking animatedly, expressing his anger at the bizarre play. Meanwhile, going forward with the play, Randle did not seem to like how Gobert reacted to him early on. Yet, he decided to give up the ball to Gobert for the final possession of the play. What happened next only summed up the sorry state of affairs for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Rudy Gobert Fumbles Important Play To Hand Toronto Raptors A Much Needed Win
Upon receiving the pass from Randle, Gobert could not hold onto the ball. He missed out on a scoring opportunity as the time ran out and sealed yet another disappointing outing for the team. As a matter of fact, when compared side by side, Randle had a much more composed game than Gobert. Dropping 23 points with a couple of steals and nine rebounds, Randle looked quite impressive.
TROUBLE IN MINNESOTA? In a 95-95 tie game in the 4th, Julius Randle didn’t pass to Rudy Gobert in the paint, so, out of spite, Gobert stayed down there & for a three-seconds called on him.

On the contrary, Gobert notched up 13 points while taking 11 rebounds with one steal and two blocks. However, it is not the individual performances that matter. If the Timberwolves need to turn the tide, they would need to function as a team as soon as possible. With tempers flaring within the team, it now remains to be seen whether the Timberwolves can make a comeback or not.
