The Brooklyn Nets have come out as a surprise element in this year’s NBA regular season. While not many gave them a chance, the team has been able to gel well and pick up some surprise wins. One such win came against the highly touted Golden State Warriors. Continuing the good work, the Nets once again emerged victorious in a recent face-off with the Phoenix Suns.
Now, while the 127-117 victory surely tasted sweet, there was one particular moment that left the Nets’ fans, along with Dennis Schroder, baffled. In fact, the 2023 FIBA World Cup MVP was so mad that he uttered a mouthful to Ben Simmons. At one point in the match, Simmons got a golden opportunity. He received the ball right in front of the basket. To make things even better for Simmons, he was being guarded by Devin Booker, who had a height disadvantage over Simmons.

As everyone expected Simmons to take on Booker and dunk the ball in, Simmons passed the ball instead. Unable to control the ball from going out of play, Dennis Schroder got extremely angry at Simmons. “C’mon Ben! Put him in the f**king rim!” the German point guard stated. A closeup of Schroder on the video showed the Nets’ star allegedly yelling at Simmons. Well, this was not the only instance of Dennis Schroder getting involved in a heated exchange.
Dennis Schroder Lashes Out At Fan
Dennis Schroder might have gotten angry at Ben Simmons, but he also defended his teammate against an abusive fan. During their 101-117 loss to the Orlando Magic, one of the fans called Simmons ‘trash’. Such a derogatory statement about his fellow hooper did not sit well with Schroder. En route to his way back to the locker room at the Kia Center, the Nets guard yelled at the fan, “Who talking s*** to Ben?”

Things soon got heated as both Schroder and the fan got involved in a nasty confrontation. As per the reports from NetsDaily, “Told by a witness that what pissed off Schroder and other Nets players was that the fan waited till Simmons was 10 steps beyond him before calling him trash.”
