The Minnesota Timberwolves endured consecutive losses against the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks. But star player Anthony Edwards believes there’s more to blame than just their performance on the court.
Following the Timberwolves’ 113-103 defeat to the Warriors, Edwards didn’t hold back when addressing the NBA officiating in a heated postgame interview. Edwards also expressed frustration with what he perceives as unfair treatment toward himself and his teammate, Julius Randle.
“All of them, besides the woman. But the other two dudes, terrible. Excuses as reasons they don’t call a foul, the reason they don’t call a foul. They don’t wanna talk back to my coach, talk back to me. I said one thing to the ref, and he gave me a tech,” Edwards said.

“They’re just sensitive, and they’re terrible. They penalize me and Ju (Randle) for being stronger than our opponent every night. We don’t get no calls. So yeah, that’s how I feel about the officials. Every game that we play,” he added.
However, NBA fans disagreed with Edwards’ comments about the referees. Instead, they criticized Edwards, suggesting his inability to lead his team to victory was the real issue behind his remarks about the officials.
What’s terrible is he can’t lead his team to win 🤦♂️

Anthony Edwards Criticizes Timberwolves’ Offensive Struggles After Loss To Knicks
After the Timberwolves’ loss against the Knicks, Anthony Edwards, who recently trash-talked Stephen Curry, was candid about the team’s offensive woes. The Wolves star pointed to a lack of structure and identity.
“We don’t have s— on offense. We don’t have no identity. We know I’m gonna shoot a bunch of shots, we know [Julius Randle] gonna shoot a bunch of shots, and that’s all we know,” Edwards said.
With their most recent defeat, the Timberwolves dropped to a 14-13 record, placing them tenth in the Western Conference. Their next challenge will be against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
