We have seen Anthony Edwards fighting. We have seen him arguing with the referees over a foul. But hey, this was the first time Ant-Man jumped with pure joy after seeing his grandfather on the sidelines.
During a recent NBA game, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was the happiest around. While he was shooting in the practice session, Edwards saw someone sitting by the courtside. Anthony’s grandfather, Ben Edwards, made a surprise visit to his grandson’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. Surprisingly, it was the first time Ben had seen his grandson play since high school, and when Anthony spotted him during warm-ups, he spread his infectious excitement.
He jumped with joy and rushed over for a big hug. This surprise visit meant a lot to Anthony, especially during a season where the Timberwolves have struggled to find their footing.
Big moment for Anthony Edwards pregame. His grandfather, Ben, is attending one of his games for the first time since high school. Ben didn’t get out to many of Ant’s games as he was growing up, so tonight is a special one for Ant. His arrival was kept a surprise til this moment. pic.twitter.com/Jfo8j3mEYm
