The Minnesota Timberwolves registered their second straight win on Thursday night to manage a 5-3 record. The Wolves defeated the Chicago Bulls 135-119 to manage the joint-fourth spot in the Western Conference standings. During the game, the Timberwolves point guard almost posterized the Bulls center, Nikola Vucevic. However, Edwards was left disappointed as he barely missed the dunk.
Anthony Edwards is leading the Wolves in scoring with an average of 27.3 points per game, followed by Julius Randle with 21.4 points. With 224 points in eight games, Edwards currently sits at the seventh spot in the NBA’s scoring leaders list.
With 8:00 remaining in the third quarter and the Bulls were up 75-69, Edwards found an open space and made a run inside the paint. The 6-foot-10 Montenegrin attempted to block Edwards, who got the better of Vucevic. However, the Wolves guard missed the dunk and appeared disappointed despite winning the free shots.

In the game against the Bulls, Edwards registered 33 points on shooting 56.5% from the field and 5-off-9 three-point shots. He also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists, and blocked a shot. On the other hand, Randle recorded 22 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Wolves center Rudy Gobert also had a decent outing with 21 points and nine boards against the Bulls, while Mike Conley had 14 points and 11 assists.
For the Chicago Bulls, Nikola Vucevic scored 25 points for the Bulls on 11-for-15 FG shooting and 60% three-point shooting. Coby White scored 24 points and made eight assists. The Wolves’ 12-0 run in the fourth quarter helped them take the lead against the Bulls and eventually win. In the next clashes, the Wolves will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, while the Bulls face the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
