The Los Angeles Lakers have finally come back to winning ways. Starting off the season emphatically, the purple and gold peaked with a six-game unbeaten run. Unfortunately, the tides soon turned against LeBron James and co. as the Los Angeles-based outfit kept losing games. Thankfully, the slide has been stemmed, thanks to a slim 105-104 victory over the Utah Jazz.
But the drama was still left to be unfolded at the Delta Center. Just at the fag end of the game, Collin Sexton converted a layoff. But guess what? It was declared null and void as the Utah Jazz HC, Will Hardy, called a timeout during that exact moment. However, Anthony Davis didn’t seem too bothered by the incident.
“I heard the whistle. So I stopped… I don’t know if [Collin Sexton] would’ve made it. I probably would’ve blocked it,” said Davis.

This was quite an unfortunate turn of events for the Jazz and Sexton. Capitalizing on a missed three-peat shot from LeBron James, Sexton dribbled past the opponents with ease. While he probably thought that his coach might not use the final timeout, Hardy did call for it. This was not the only instance in which Davis gave a fiery reply to his opponent. His back and forth with Ja Morant took the internet by storm recently.
Anthony Davis Claps Back At Ja Morant During The Lakers-Grizzlies Game
The Los Angeles Lakers narrowly edged out the Memphis Grizzlies by a scoreline of 128-123. However, there was no lack of sparks flaring as it all started with the sidelined star Ja Morant. Morant took it upon himself to taunt Anthony Davis while nursing a hip injury.

“God damn, AD. God damn, AD,” the Grizzlies star shouted as Jaren Jackson Jr. scored on Davis. Morant also teased Davis again, saying, “Come here, AD… they [the Lakers] can’t f*ck with y’all [Memphis].” Well, hearing all the taunts, Davis was not the one to back out. Davis clapped back as soon as the Lakers got their stronghold on the game. “I’m different, n****.” Thus, with the Lakers back on a winning course, it looks like they would need the fiery Anthony Davis to get them through to the playoffs.
