Victor Wembanyama’s basketball prowess isn’t the only thing that’s turning heads. His remarkable height of 7 feet 4 inches (2.23 meters) has also become a topic of fascination since he was drafted. Recently, the young French sensation amused basketball fans with his playful approach and remarkable stature.
During the photoshoot before Team France’s pre-Olympic game against Serbia, Wembanyama hilariously bent his knees to make his teammate Rudy Robert appear taller. The moment was captured in a snapshot where Wembanyama, usually towering over everyone, squatted down to Gobert’s level.
Standing at 7 feet 1 inch, Gobert seemingly appreciated Wembanyama’s gesture. Nevertheless, Gobert was caught standing on his tiptoes to match Wemby’s towering height for the photograph. The photo quickly became a hit among basketball fans.
Wembanyama’s height makes him a standout on the court and places him among the tallest active NBA players alongside Boban Marjanović and Zach Edey.

However, France struggled to organize their offense against Serbia’s relentless pressure defense, which limited their guards’ effectiveness throughout the game. Unfortunately, Gobert faced foul trouble and contributed 3 points and 3 rebounds before fouling out of the game.
Meanwhile, Jokic proved to be a dominant force for Serbia, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds. With his performance, Serbia’s defensive prowess capitalized on France’s offensive challenges.
France prepares for their upcoming matchup against Team Canada on July 16th, aiming to rebound from their defeat against Serbia. On the other hand, Serbia will square off against Australia on the same day.
