The Los Angeles Lakers recently fired their entire coaching staff, including head coach Darvin Ham. They need to find a suitable replacement to meet the team’s requirements. There are rumors that Tyronn Lue, head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, could be the front-runner for the head coach position.
During a recent episode of the show ‘Run It Back on Fanduel TV,’ Shams Charania, an NBA insider and analyst for ‘The Athletic,’ asked Lou Williams, a retired American basketball shooting guard, for his opinion on who should be the next head coach for the Lakers.
Williams picked Tyronn Lue as the most suitable person for the job. Williams also mentioned that Lue can communicate effectively with Lakers players.
“There’s no chance that JJ Redick is going to be able to command that locker room. I’m not saying that JJ isn’t fit for the job. There’s only one person that I could see managing this, and I hate to say it, it’s gonna be Ty Lue. The only reason I said this is because he speaks the language, he knows how to communicate with players, He’s already been with LeBron, he has that experience, and he already shared a locker room with him [LeBron James].” Lou Williams said.
Tyronn Lue to Reunite with LeBron James?
If Tyronn Lue takes charge of the Lakers next season, it would mark a sweet reunion for the 47-year-old with LeBron James. Lue previously coached James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA championship in 2016.
