The Sacramento Kings made Tyrese Haliburton’s dream come true Wednesday night, as they picked him at No. 12 in the NBA Draft.
Projected by many as a Top 10 pick, Haliburton slipped down the board, but he was just fine with it.
“(I was) just waiting to see who wanted my services, so I was a perfect fit for their organization,” Haliburton said. “For a while Sacramento has said that they thought I was the perfect fit and that I was one of the best players in the draft so, you just want to go somewhere where you’re wanted.
“Obviously, coach (Luke) Walton and the rest of Sacramento’s organization, they feel like I am a great fit here and I feel the same, as well.”
Along with his suit, Haliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones, went super viral as she sat next to him on the couch.

Haliburton, 6-foot-5, averaged 15.2 points and 6.5 assists and 5.9 rebounds during his sophomore season at Iowa State.
