After a strong performance against the New York Knicks, Tyrese Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers faced a setback when the Boston Celtics swept them in the Eastern Conference Finals. The defeat was a tough blow, and to add to Haliburton’s disappointment, Knicks star Josh Hart took a jab at him for the sweep.
Despite the setback, Haliburton maintains a positive and humorous outlook on the future. During a recent media appearance in his hometown of Oshkosh, Haliburton shared his lighthearted approach to building a championship-caliber team and revealed that he tried to persuade every Team USA member to join the Pacers.
“I recruited every guy on that team basically. Anyone that wants to come join us in Indiana, I’m all for it,” Haliburton said.
“I definitely got recruited, but I’m not going anywhere. I think it was a lot of fun with those guys. You create, I think, lifelong relationships, lifelong friendships,” he added.
