If there was one enemy of the state the New York Knicks fans could name, it would most certainly be Reggie Miller. Since the famous performance in 1995, the Boogeyman has haunted the Knicks fans, and Tyrese Haliburton has reminded them of that once again.
Following the Pacers’ win over the Knicks in the final game of the series, Tyrese Haliburton was seen sporting a hoodie. The print on it was noticeable in particular as it had Reggie Miller’s choking gesture imprinted on it. While the indication was clear, Haliburton remained mum on the actual purpose of his fashion statement. “We text every day. He has been a good mentor for me,” Haliburton said about Miller. “I’m just wearing a hoodie, I like to be comfy on the plane,” stated the former Iowa guard about his hoodie.
The Knicks fans brought out their hostile side when Miller was on commentary during game 2 of the series. “F**k you Reggie” chants broke out after the game to remind Miller of their sour opinion of him. Haliburton’s action puts another layer to the Miller vs Knicks rivalry after the 24-year-old led his franchise to their first conference finals since 2014.
Tyrese Haliburton Leads the Way for Pacers
Beating the Knicks in an electric Madison Square Garden is no easy feat, as the Pacers found out in their last 3 visits to the famous arena during the series. The series finale was also in enemy territory. Still, they did the unthinkable by recording the only road win in the whole series, and Haliburton played a massive part in it.
The two-time NBA All-Star scored 26 points on Sunday night from 10-17 shooting from the field along with 4 rebounds and 6 assists. His 3-point shooting improved in game 7, with 6 successes out of 12 attempts.

Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard also contributed handsomely with 20 points each. Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner chipped in with 19 and 17 points, respectively, to add to the scoreboard as the Indiana side sailed home with a resounding 130-109 win.
Haliburton’s numbers dipped in the last two games but his return to form will be a big boost to the Pacers as they get ready for the encounter with the Celtics in the conference finals starting on May 21.
