According to Brandon Robinson, NBA star Stephon Marbury thinks the Phoenix Suns should add a scoring point guard to improve their lineup. He recommended Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers. Suns owner recently opened up about the Big 3 in his franchise.
The NBA season hasn’t begun yet, but clubs are already getting ready. Player movements are ongoing, and one of the league’s top players has expressed opinions about his future. Following the accusation made by a former NBA champion, Tyrese Haliburton made it apparent where he stands with the Indiana Pacers.
Tyrese said, “I’m not going anywhere, So if they want to play with me they would then have to come here. The Stephon Marbury comment is a little weird… Why does Phoenix need me, they’ve got Tyus Jones, they’ve got a good squad over there… I mean, I understand but I’m good in Indy, they’re good in Phoenix. Everybody’s good right now.”
Even though he wasn’t a prolific scorer, Chris Paul was a terrific distributor who got the ball to various scorers on the floor. He was the last great point guard for the Suns. It didn’t work out well to trade him for another scorer, Bradley Beal, as the playoffs showed.
What Did Stephon Marbury Actually Said About Tyrese Haliburton Joining The Suns?
Marbury said the Suns need a scoring point guard to improve their performance, mentioning Haliburton’s possible influence. He noted that Haliburton’s ability to score and create plays will help the Suns become a dominant team in the league. However, Haliburton’s intense concentration on his present squad suggests he isn’t considering a trade or transfer.
Marbury said, “They need a scoring point guard. They need a guy that can get them going but can really go too. Like the kid that plays for the Indiana Pacers? Tyrese…I like him with Phoenix.”

In addition to his duties, Tyrese Haliburton may get a sizable salary bonus and be named an All-NBA player. He emphasizes that the team’s success is his first concern and must balance it with his objectives. Haliburton’s performance and leadership will be critical to the Pacers this season as he develops.
