Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro stepped up big time for his community when he was spotted out at a protest on Saturday supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
Alongside him was Instagram model Katya Elise Henry.
The 20-year-old recently broke his silence on the racial injustice that exists across the United States after the tragic murder of George Floyd.
“Change is needed! I stand with people of color and support that everyone needs to be viewed the same,” he posted on Twitter. “America is a melting pot and if we are all created equally then we should be treated equally as well. Silence is a form of acceptance and I will not stay silent for injustice.”
Protests have occurred throughout the country for the past two weeks in response to George Floyd, a Minneapolis man who died last month after a police officer could be seen putting his knee on his neck for eight minutes.

As far as his play on the court, the youngster is putting up 12.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest this season.
