Miami Heat was unlucky in the 2023-24 NBA season as multiple players were injured and not available for several Games. However, they still dominated multiple games and entered the NBA playoffs. Unfortunately, they lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. However, Tyler Herro, the Heat’s shooting guard, gave some shocking updates about the Heat’s roster for the next season.
In a recent interview with Matt Issa of Forbes, Herro, who was recently praised by Nick Young, mentioned that the team was not healthy last season, with multiple players being injured. The 24-year-old believes that the Heat can clinch the NBA title if they are healthy next season.
“We haven’t been healthy yet. But we feel like when we do get healthy, we have a very deep team – a team that is deep enough to make a run in the East and ultimately win the NBA title.” Herro said.
“I’m really excited for this season. Obviously, there are a lot of teams in the East that think they have externally improved. But I think we’ve improved internally. It may look a little different, but we have young guys that we hope will continue to get better.” Herro added.
Herro also expressed his optimism for the upcoming campaign. He pointed out that they have a fantastic group of young players and have progressed internally. The Heat guard thinks that the Eastern Conference teams will have a difficult time competing with their squad.
Herro Delivers Thrilling Updates on Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier’s Injury Status
During a play-in game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the critical player Jimmy Butler sprained his medial collateral ligament (MCL). Terry Rozier missed the last 11 games of the 2023–24 season due to a neck strain, including all five of the team’s postseason games against the Celtics.
“Bam Adebayo and I are young guys who are starting to become full-fledged veterans in this league. Terry Rozier is healthy now and ready to compete. Then you have Jimmy Butler, who is extra motivated after not being able to play in the playoffs last season.” Herro continued.
