Victor Oladipo, a two-time NBA All-Star guard who last played for the Miami Heat in the 2022-23 season, has embarked on a new career path. While the 32-year-old guard hasn’t officially retired from the NBA, he has joined ESPN as an NBA analyst. In his recent appearance on national TV, Oladipo ranked his best five NBA dunkers.
Victor Oladipo recently ranked his top 5 NBA dunkers in history. He started with ‘Lob City’ Clippers’ Blake Griffin, talking about his dunk over a car, followed by Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James in the fourth spot. He recalled the four-time NBA champion’s jump over John Lucas in 2012 and said, “Probably one of the few people in the league to jump over a human being.”
Former Indiana Pacers guard ranked Dominique Wilkins, who he nicknamed “Silk Wilk,” third in his list and legendary Michael Jordan at the second spot. Just like most of the fans, Vince Carter reigns supreme in Oladipo’s list.
Fans Left Disappointed Seeing Victor Oladipo As NBA Analyst Despite His Young Age
Victor Oladipo made his ESPN’s NBA analyst debut on Wednesday night during the NBA preseason. The former Indiana Pacers guard the Most Improved Player award in 2018 and missed the entire last season due to injury. Social media reacted to seeing Oladipo as an NBA analyst and expressed their disappointment with the sudden end of his career.

He last played in Game 3 of the playoffs, round one against the Milwaukee Bucks. Ahead of the last season, Oladipo was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies. However, he didn’t play for any franchise and was waived by the Grizzlies in February 2024. Whether the 2018 steals leader will ever return to the league remains uncertain.
