However, the Paris Olympics 2024 gold-winning player is not among the top 10 players with the highest NBA salaries ahead of the 2024-25 season. According to Spotrac, here is the list of the top 10 earners in the NBA ahead of the 79th regular season.
Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
Steph Curry, a four-time NBA champion and the 2022 NBA Finals MVP, has made an incredible legacy at the Golden State Warriors. In 2022, Curry signed a $215 million, four-year contract extension with the Warriors. The 36-year-old will earn around $55.8 million in the 2024-25 season, making him the highest earner.

Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) And Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers)
The three-time NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Paris Olympic 2024 gold-winning USA center Joel Embiid, who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, are tied for second place. In 2023, Jokic signed a five-year, $276 million extension with the Nuggets, while Embiid inked a $213 million contract for four years with the Sixers.

In the 2024-25 season, Serbian center Nikola Jokic and two-time NBA scoring champion Joel Embiid will earn $51.41 million.
Bradley Beal (Phoenix Suns)
In 2022, Bradley Beal signed a five-year, $251 million contract with the Washington Wizards. The 31-year-old shooting guard was traded to the Phoenix Suns, bringing him together with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant next season. In the 2024-25 season, Beal will earn over $50.2 million.

Team USA’s all-time scorer Kevin Durant signed a four-year, $194 million contract in 2021 with the Brooklyn Nets, which continued when he joined the Phoenix Suns. Durant joined the Suns during the 2022-23 season and has a base salary of $49.9M for the 2024-25 season. Although Durant’s Suns have made it to the NBA playoffs in the last two seasons, they haven’t even reached the Conference finals yet.
Devin Booker, Jaylen Brown, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Karl-Anthony Towns
Five NBA players are tied for sixth place with a $49.2 million base salary in the 2024-25 season—Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker, reigning NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, Los Angeles Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard, Paul George of the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns.
Booker signed a four-year, $220 million extension with the Suns in 2024, while Brown extended his contract to a five-year, $285 million deal with the Celtics last year. Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard signed a three-year, $149.5 million contract in 2024, while his former teammate Paul George signed a four-year, $211 million contract with the 76ers ahead of the 2024-25 season. The Wolves star KAT signed a 4-year, $220 million contract in 2024.
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard, his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James of the Lakers, and Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert make up the top 15 players with the highest NBA salaries in the 2024-25 season.
