The name Tim Donaghy will forever be connected to the NBA as some fans rightfully believe he likely screwed their favorite teams back in the day.
“Untold: Operation Flagrant Foul” is now available to watch on Netflix, a documentary that dives into the NBA’s scandal of fixing games in the mid-2000’s with official Tim Donaghy front and center of it all.
“Years after serving time for betting on games he officiated, former NBA referee Tim Donaghy revisits the scandal that shook up the league,” said Netflix’s official description.
During one part of the documentary, Donaghy spoke about a game he called featuring the 76ers and Bulls. He added that the league was cracking down on a spin move that they claimed was a clear travel.
Michael Jordan liked that move and got called for a travel in the game.
Donaghy then exposed head coach Phil Jackson and the NBA for what happened next.
