The NBA announced that the Los Angeles Clippers would be assessed a hefty $25,000 punishment on their official NBA Communications X account. They did not appropriately notify the league of many players’ injuries or availability for a particular game.
According to the NBA article, the players in question are Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Norman Powell. On April 14th, when they played the Houston Rockets, their squad neglected to disclose their status accurately. It was also the last game of the regular season for 2023–2024.
Despite missing that game, Powell, Russ, and PG were not listed on the Los Angeles Clippers’ injury report. According to the official NBA rules available on NBA.com, players must adequately record any game absences for whatever reason—also, the team must disclose the sort of injury the athlete has. All of this information must be provided within a certain amount of time before the planned game.
If a club is playing the second game in a back-to-back, the report must be submitted to the league by 1 p.m. on the day of the contest. If not, players who could miss a game must submit their health condition by 5 p.m. on the day before the match.

James Harden has only appeared in one of the Los Angeles Clippers’ previous four games. He played in just ten minutes of that April 12 matchup against the Utah Jazz. It was said that he was suffering from inflammation in his right foot.
Kawhi Leonard, meanwhile, missed eight straight games to end the 2023–24 campaign. Due to an irritation in his right knee, his availability for his team’s series-opening against the Dallas Mavericks is uncertain.
